It’s made with 100% Trebbiano di Lugana (aka Turbiana) and is pale lemon with medium(+) intensity of grapefruit peel, honeydew, passion fruit, green apple, gooseberry, white blossom, honeysuckle, wet stones, Italian parsley, fennel, boxwood, toast, and delicate aged, hard cheese notes…

It has mouthwatering acidity to balance the medium alcohol (13% ABV) and rich mouthfeel and aromatic/ flavor intensity. It’s positively delicious!! — a year ago

We had a tour when Bepi was still alive and he served us His Primofiore that had been opened and left in the cellar two days prior. Not argon gassed or even corked. We were amazed. The only sign was in the cellar so a hard place to find even with an appointment If still there, try to arrange a tasting at Bertani as well. Great antipasto plate to go with the tasting. Ciao!
