This is not a Ribera del Duero (that’s Tempranillo territory and I’m not a Tempranillo guy). This is Ribera del Jiloca, and this is a relatively structured Garnacha. Nose is a bit reticent at first but then reluctantly gives up pure raspberry and tons of crushed rock powder. In the mouth it’s lean but flavorful, with stony flavors and fruit in equal measure. Acids and fine-grained chalky tannins to frame everything. Nice, length, and a really good weeknight value. — 2 years ago

Raspberry,blackberry, slight cherry and plum, mixed with pepper and slight spice. Medium tannins and finish. I thought a 2013 would have mellowed more but I think this could easily go another 3-5 years on the cellar rack. Liked it and looking forward to seeing how it matures. — 5 years ago
