Again, some of may favorite sparkling. Liz also loved it. Had some subtle salinity and/or even smoke. Then crisp and a little fruit. Pretty great. — 5 years ago
You and Liz liked this quite a bit. Acidity, pear and pineapple. A little creamy too. — 5 years ago

Had this a couple time now. Both you and Liz love this. I prefer their rose a bit to this one, but is great. Honey, floral, a little toast and vanilla. A tad sweet. Such a great mouthfeel; full. — 4 years ago
Both you and Liz loved this one. Awesome nose—leather, wood, herbs. Not too much fruit, good tannins. Great stuff. — 5 years ago
Liz loved it. Acid and soft on the end. You didn’t get more than a sip, but liked it. — 5 years ago

One of my favorite roses in a long, long time. Not just strawberry. First thing I notice is mineral and salinity and earth. Strawberry but subdued. Bright acid, but not citrus. Tomato, Liz says, and I agree. (Subdued, salty strawberry = tomato) — 4 years ago
I may be biased here, but only a couple library bottles remaining. Liz wants to “lay down with this bottle.” Which should be an indication of the hedonism herein. It’s Bordeaux-y as you would expect from a blended cab from the spring mountain vineyard and 10 years of youth. Most interesting here is the 13.5% and the dose of cab franc which really shines. I wish I had more to appreciate this wine for at least another two decades. — 5 years ago

Actually a 2012 Hidden Label McLaren Vale Shiraz. A wine I bought as a company wine to give as gifts to good clients. Because of changing attitudes to company gifts in Australia the practice is discouraged particularly to Government Departments so my brother and I split the last dozen. This is a good McLaren Vale Shiraz from a good vintage showing dark chocolate and blackberry drinking at its peak. The early stern Tannins have softened and has developed into a lovely wine. — a year ago
