Got a 2010 Mason on my rack right nowThis is actually Ryan’s “Been Away Too Long” bottling, a 100% mourvedre sourced from Denner. If you don’t know these wine, do yourself a favor and try a few bottles. In my opinion he makes the best pure mourvedre outside of France. Unlike most mourvedres, Ryan’s are elegant - more like a grenache - but with great depth of flavor. His wines are very approachable when young, but definitely put on some weight and depth with a few years in the bottle, so my rating will absolutely go up with time. Terrific wines from a small, excellent winery in Paso. Check it out! — 5 years ago

Perfect wine to drink after fleeing your home in Brooklyn because of Covid-19 — 6 years ago
My first ‘blanc’ from Côte des Nuits. Somewhere straighter, less buttery than Côte des Beaune. Nice acidity, lemon peal, vanilla. Medium length. Paired With John Dory in Le Havre. — a year ago
Pleasant Pomerol. I had it with my friend Eric at Cafe de la Paix at Operà in Paris. — 2 years ago
I havre an affinity for this wine that goes back many years. I suppose you can call me a loyal follower. Happy to see this at local grocery store price has increased since first bottle i bought. I still believe it’s a sleeper pick. Price is half than comparable wines. But this is my opinion. Wine is personal. We each have our own tastes and preferences. . — 4 years ago
Inspired by Jim to drink our bottle of Ugni blanc and it did not disappoint, great balance and acidity, with hints of apple on the nose. — 5 years ago
Another delicious and super approachable 100% mourvedre from Ryan Pease of Paix sur Terre. For those who don’t know, Ryan has a friend who does all of the original artwork for these labels. Great operation there - do yourself a favor and check them out! — 5 years ago
