Yum! First glass was fresh, hint of funk, second was bready/biscuity — 7 years ago

The 2017 Montrachet Grand Cru was the full stop on a long and bibulous evening, but that did not detract one jot from the quality of this wine. It has a wonderful, pure, effervescent bouquet with orange pith and touches of camphor and chamomile. The palate is very pure and delivers what you expect from this vineyard. Caressing in texture, it fans out to devastating effect, and while it may just miss earth-shattering mineralité, it is quite simply a beautiful wine in the flush of youth. Tasted at Maison de Colombière. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2023) — 2 years ago
Smokey sexy dark fruit. Rasselberry pie. Amazing balance. — 7 years ago
Soft and delicate, nice length, a touch of acid and complexity on the finish. Good drinking. — 9 years ago
— 2 years ago
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot (60/40), this is a delicious & inexpensive left bank Bordeaux. I will say that a 30+ minute decant really helped remove some intial reduction. Afterwards this wine presents black currant & plum with notes of graphite and cigar box with a palate that is medium bodied with just enough well integrated tannins to pair well with reverse seared ribeye steaks alongside rainbow carrots! Great. First time having Negrette variety. Very easy to drink but still has a slight spiciness to it like a Cab Franc. Definitely want to buy again. — 6 years ago

2024 vintage. The first time I tasted this very rare grape variety, it was saved from extinction by Philippe and Diane Cauvin at Domaine La Colombière. These days a few estates produce Bouysselet wines, and intriguingly Château Anthonic in Moulis, grafted Bouysselet on Merlot vines, with the first production expected in 2025. I suspect this is produced from young vines, but the resulting wine is very interesting. The closest thing that comes to mind is Chenin Blanc, but it seems to have a character of its own. I will taste a few others soon. Abv. 13,5%. — a month ago
