Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2010

Needs 45 minutes of air. Also this is a good wine with noticeably high levels of alcohol (14.5%). But after the air it is well integrated, balanced, intense cherries, cassis and sweetness in the finish. There is good length and some lightness. Overall not my favourite blend but a well made CdP and a well made wine — 11 days ago

Bastion de L'Oratoire Marsannay Pinot Noir 2014

Pinot Noir has never been my go-to varietal, but this is what I hope to find whenever I do go there. Turned earth, mushroom, and slight barnyard blend seamlessly with bright cherry, cranberry, and blueberry. M acid and M+ tannins, this was subtle while remaining complex and beautifully balanced. — 7 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc White Rhone Blend 2018

Light in color, aromas of citrus, and almonds and creme fraiche. Great mouth feel and flavor. A real patio pounder. Will be interesting in a few years to see the progression. — 6 months ago
