Super nice balance of acidity & tannins. Drink with speck. — 7 years ago
So bright and fun! Great acid, a tiny bit of spritz like mouthfeel and tropical aromas. — 3 years ago
Star bright straw gold. Yellow apples and underripe pineapple in the nose. Medium body and the aforementioned fruit plus some brown stone on the palate. Medium plus acidity and a medium finish. Probably the best dry Riesling out there right now, and it’s not from Germany (though it *is* the Germanic part of Italy)! A natural with fish and other seafood, poultry, pork, or light to medium vegetarian dishes. Drink now through 2023. — 5 years ago

After reading Matt Kramer’s excellent book “Matt Kramer on Wine” - I was intrigued by his description of #lagrein wine from #altoadige in 🇮🇹. I found this sole example at Total and having now enjoyed it over a week, I have to say you must try this grape and region if you like interesting and complex red wines. It really does well just south of room temperature with a mixture of bramble berry, hot stone, touch of sandalwood and very faint clove aromas. There’s a rich mouthfeel and dense mouth-coating tannins that are nevertheless very soft, plus a backdrop of minerality and acidity that just calls out to pair this most excellent wine with savory dishes. I must go forth and sing the praises of Lagrein. That this wine is not more well known is one of the great tragedies of modern wine marketing. — 5 years ago
Nice balance of stone fruit with a hint of citrus. Nice on it's own. — 8 years ago

Bright straw gold. Baked quince with hints of white pepper and white flowers on the inviting nose and medium palate. Firm, almost flinty acidity and a lingering finish. My current house white. Excellent with pretty much any "white wine" fare. And only ten bucks! Drink now. — 10 months ago
