A glass of Japanese white at the fabulous Hotel Mitsui in Kyoto. Very similar to a Sauvignon Blanc, more specifically a Sancerre from the Loire. Most impressive. I didn’t get to try a Japanese Red yet on this visit but might seek one out in Tokyo tonight. — 10 months ago

Very weird, it’s a rich slow drinker — 18 days ago
I’ll be honest I bought this to blind my wine group and out of curiosity, as I never had a Japanese wine. Impressed how a wine with 10.5% alcohol can produce a very intense , fresh and flavorful wine. Strong herbal, saline and apple scents and flavors. A creamy texture along with some unresolved oak . I would guess this can age and hopefully resolve some of its oak. Needless to say when revealed people were very surprised. — 8 months ago
甲州を樽で寝かせたという私的にはあまり響かない作り。
しかし、その重奏感というか奥行きの素晴らしさに圧巻。
果実の膨らみに程よい樽が広がって、甲州らしい酸がしっかり締める。 — 4 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Dark Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits, herbs and earthy oak spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, raspberry and currants with espresso, cacao and earthy notes. Well balanced, lively acidity, fine tannins long ending with fruit, oak, mineral and tobacco spice! Very Nice Napa Cab! — 2 days ago
