Knappogue Castle

Castello di Amorosa

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Although this is just one of there standard Cabs and not single vineyard, we thought it was fantastic and my oldest bottle from the Castle. Rich ruby with aromas of blueberry, plum, and cedar. On the bud, it is smooth and full bodied with berries and spice. The finish is long. Went great with our filets and rosemary potatoes. — 4 months ago

Porongurup Riesling 2016

Tasted blind, presented by Sue Bell. I picked Riesling, Australian and missed Porongurups WA. A brilliant Riesling made by Rob Diletti at Castle Rock WA. Lovely aromatics of Musk and Bath Talc. At 5 years the acid had settled and the citrus was going towards stone fruit. Really enjoyed this. — 3 years ago

Aged 12 Years Single Malt Irish Whiskey

AEL
8.9

This stuff is dangerous. Smooth, light on the tongue, but not simple. A light gold color, some kind of melon note and vanilla flavors. Great at this price; points for cost/benefit ratio. At Cory's in the freezing cold. — 3 years ago

Porongurup Shiraz 2017

Consistent notes from a year ago when we visited the winery in Porongurup WA and spent a wonderful hour with Owner and winemaker Rob Diletti. I love these cool climate peppery Shirazes. Should leave having the next one for a couple of years. — 3 years ago
