This is one of my favorite white wines of all time and this vintage is the best I’ve ever tasted. Lemongrass, honey suckle, saline notes, mist, and slightly effervescent. Seaside liquid freshness with low acidity, low alcohol, but medium plus body. From an indigenous grape in Basque Country in Norther Spain, so pleasantly good, a crowd pleaser for sure! Good value to top it all off, hovering around the twenty some dollar range. — 6 days ago
Tasted blind. By now we’re starting to get a bit polluted from all the previous wines. This is dark tawny in color with great fruit, black cherry, spice, dark earth and some wood. Comes across as young and not yielding much. With air the wine gets more rich and the texture of the juice is amazing. This explodes with power, fruit and an amazing finish. Nobody guessed Syrah or Rhone. I threw out an 82 Mouton guess. Sometimes a guess is rated as “at least you got the country right”… We were all impressed with how good this was. It was the WOTD for many. — 20 days ago
Coming up as a Merlot but the bottle says Zinfandel. Anywho I’m in total support of this! — a month ago
