2015 vintage - really good with loads of cherries and other red fruit. Great acidity. — 8 years ago
Pale green, peach and lingonberry on the nose. Nice balance of sweetness and acidity, refreshing, full-bodied for a Riesling, gooseberry and lime. — 7 years ago
An incredible wine with tons of potential but so closed at the moment. Bone dry, laser acidity with a s***load of power but never heavy. Super long finish. Dark, deep and mysterious. Like Pechstein always is.
Mathieu Kaufmann, the cellar master of von Buhl told us to let this Baby sleep for ten years. But then it will blow your mind. I'm 100% sure. Buhl did an amazing job in the last years after the big "change" in the winery. This Pechstein is the perfect proof. Well done! — 8 years ago
Winery in the Rheingau is now called Kaufmann. Tasted this over the Christmas Holidays in Frankfurt. Beautiful wine, good acidity, hint of lemon, peach, and a soft petrol nose. Urban Kaufmann and partner Eva Rapp have been leaders in redefining Germany's classification system this GG (Grosses Gewachs) is a great start — 4 years ago
Very fine silky mild tannins, nice deep fruit. Black cherries and a hint of tar. — 7 years ago

New wine by new winemaker (Mathieu Kaufmann from Bollinger & von Buhl).
Bone dry yet unmistakably Mosel - light, mineral, with very light apples & peaches & lemon peel.
Crystal clear on the palate, poised & balancing the juicy acidity with just the right pinch of sweetness and with the unmistakable slate minerality. Begs for another sip. Delicious, mouthwatering stuff!
