Nose of burnt honey, burnt caramel, burnt strawberry. Over ripe plum and peach.
Taste is a bright and clear peach. Like taking a bite of a ripe peach. Then falls into peach creme brulee. Long delicious finish — 5 years ago
It’s nice pleasant wine with floral, bitter almond and citrus aromas. Dry, balanced acidity, alcohol and body. Quiet short length. — 7 years ago
Wes really likes it. Unique flavor, tart, crisp. I didn’t love it — a month ago
Medium garnet in color; dried strawberries, lavender, and smoke on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like hibiscus, cherry jolly ranchers, crushed gravel, cloves, and a hint of eucalyptus with a long finish. I like it. Nellie says it's ok. I think I'm picking up a little Brettanomyces on the nose. Thankfully, it's not intense. — 8 months ago
Wow! 2012 vintage opened August 2019. Incredible depth with tons of citrus fruit on the nose and lingering after. Loved this stuff! — 5 years ago
The 2023 Selección Especial Nº2 Victoria was sourced from a 1920-planted vineyard in Vélez-Málaga, Alta Axarquía, in the Sierras de Málaga. This late-harvest wine was aged seven months on the lees and bottled with 190 grams of sugar. Yellow in hue, it presents herbal aromas with peach and apricot notes and a faint hint of nard. Sweet and balanced on the palate, it offers an intense mouthfeel with a long-lasting savory finish. This is a delicate, well-crafted wine. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, September 2024)

This outstanding clarete by Jorge Monzón of Dominio del Águila has emerged as the benchmark for the revival of Clarete. Sourced from old vineyards in La Aguilera, it is a blend of approximately 35% Tempranillo, 35% Albillo and other red and white grapes such as Bobal, Bruñal, Garnacha and Pirulés, all co-planted and fermented together. Complex, vibrant, just perfect to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Another hit from Jorge Ordoñez, mild spice from the old vines and a touch of earthyness , subtle cherries and light cocoa...
A really good wine at 15.99 , Ordoñez is just like Dave Phinney, the just don’t associate with bad wineries. — 7 years ago

An Albariño like no other under the umbrella of Jorge Ordóñez selection, an export pioneer who put the first albariño from Ria’s Baixas by the early of 1990’s. Exceptional quality, delicate, sophisticated and elegant. Citrusy to the right point, quite vibrant and refreshing pineapple finish. — 13 days ago
