Hard to believe it’s the same grape that goes toward some of the most boring white wines available. This is wild; pretty peach color from a little skin contact, slight oxidative notes which add to the complexity without tiring the wine out, very lively, intense and fairly long finish, most of the fruit is around apricots. This is one of the best cabs I have ever had at any price point. It’s best described as a show stopper! Was very fortunate to have this wine with a good friend that shared it with me. Would recommend for a special occasion to anyone without reservation over most anything else... — 8 years ago
This is hitting the spot tonight. Probably because I'm back in my own home with my lovely wife. But, the wine is super pleasant. At 12 years, this Syrah shows bright red fruit, apple skins, a little herbal spice, and a touch of tar on the back end. It's very good, and probably in its prime.
