Year has made a significant change to this wine. Last summer it was bit too much of everything where as now the wine has mellowed, integrated and even shows some complexity. Nice mineral streak gives firmness and the bit over the top ripeness is better aligned with the acidity giving better balance. I still think the regular bottling is overall a better package. — 5 years ago

A cross between riesling italico and furmint...top — 9 years ago
2020 vintage.
A field blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscana, Manzoni, Tocai Friulano , Cortese, Chardonnay, Riesling Italico, and Malvasia.
Custoza is in the hills of Lake Garda. Magro vineyard is small and 30 plus years old. White spring flowers, citrus and ginger on the nose. Medium bodied and off-dry with an underlying acidity. Yellow stone fruits with apple, pear and ripe persimmon.
This wine paired well with Spaghetti alla Vongole with local clams.

Served at a Stanford hiking trip of the Italian lake country. Dry, with stone fruit flavors, perfect for a dinner which featured fish and cheese.

GW Gravner tasting 10/26/16. Medium orange color. Fermented on skin 5-6 months and in amphora kilo liter size since 2001. Nose of orange peels and beeswax and a bit of honey but acidic in balance with stone fruits. Destemmed and punched down six times a day. Very acidic and firm on palate with very long acidic and minerals finish. Blend of SB, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Riesling Italico. — 8 years ago
I guess this disproves the supposition that natural wines don’t age. This Gravner was from the 2006 vintage. No formal notes with the family home for Christmas. This had an oxidative note along with cumquat full bodied flavours. At this age, an acquired taste. As you can see the colour in the glass is a deep amber. A blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Italico, fermented separately and aged together. Fermented in Georgian qvevri buried underground with ambient yeast and no temperature control. Unfined and unfiltered. — a year ago

Vinarija todorovic, opus 2019
100% vranac. Would have called it saint emilion blind. Earthy, cherry, vanilla, meat juice, this is a good and inviting nose. Good acid drive, good width, some silky mouthfeel and grainy tannins in the rear, a bit of a coffee, chocolatey thing in the rear. It's really good!
