Citrusy almond notes. On the palate M intensity with stone fruit - not unlike a Chardonnay but with more minerality salinity and bitterness (which is good). Like a lot of Mediterranean Whites it is Savoury Textural and mouth filling. My first wine from The Aeolian Islands (Salina and Vulcano) just north of Sicily. — 7 years ago

Really good wine with a hearty soup. — a year ago
Not a lot on the nose here. But Judeka certainly wakes up on the palate. Traditional Sicilian white varietals are mellowed with Chardonnay. No oak used in the aging process keeps the palate fruit forward. Mostly peach and apricot. There’s a perky green apple note on the finish. Well proportioned acidity and some sage on the finish. An unique wine. — 3 years ago
For a white wine (not typically my bag) it's fantastic. Buttery in the mouth, tropically fruity on the nose. — 2 years ago
Dry Italian white blend from Sicily. Full bodied, mineral, green apple, lemon. Rounded mouth feel. Lingering finish. Read this got 94 points from the Robert Parker of Italy. Really liked this. Great QPR $8 at Aldi. — 5 years ago
Tasted October 2013 being at Sicily)
Tender and fresh pale straw colored Vivera Altrove originated from volcanic soils of Corleone. It combines zesty acidity and freshness, smoothness and crispness. Brilliant kaleidoscope of citrus flavors on the nose accompanied by rich notes of ripe pears and white flowers. Pears vs lime/lemon game continues on palate, complicated with shadow of volcanic minerals. Light slowly vanishing finish.
Was great with mussels au gratin, scampi and swordfish pasta. Can't wait to enjoy it again. — 8 years ago
