2019 vintage. Nice blend, especially for the price. — 2 years ago
Light and refreshing not sweet. — 9 months ago
Nose has white pepper, spruce needles, cedar shavings, fresh cherry and mashed black currant.
Palate has pepper dusted mashed cherry, tart blueberry, black cherry, (light) limestone dust and (light) new oak. Medium levels of acidity/tannin help this wine to be very soft and enjoyable.

A pale shade of yellow initially in the glass. A hefty amount of teeny tiny bubbles, nice perlage. Lemon zest all over the nose complimented by jasmine and delicate cherry aromas. Chalk and dried herbs along with hot buttered toast.
Extra Brut with 2 g/l dosage, this is bone dry and mouth puckering delicious. Tiny production from Premier Cru vineyards in Hautevillers, Cumières, and Champillon, there is an irresistible quality to this champagne. Composed of the three main grapes, the fruit is certainly alive and the acidity is racy, which is just beautiful.
The palate is at times generous and lively. Plums, roasted nuts, and more lemons. As you give it time to open up more and more, you’ll experience brioche and a touch of white pepper. Maybe under the radar a little bit but not in quality. A really really nice bottle of bubbles here. — 7 months ago

Delectable Wine

The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru has a reductive bouquet that initially obscures some of the terroir expression. That reduction seems to bed in when I return to the glass after ten minutes. The palate is rich and viscous at the entry, and the acidity thankfully maintains tension. The finish feels pure but a bit predictable. Potentially, a lovely mouthful of Meursault, depending on how that reduction pans out, yet intuition is that it doesn't have the class of the best wines in the appellation. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2024)
