For one of the most “tannic grapes in the world” I thought this was very well integrated and balanced, even at 7 years young. A somewhat floral, umami nose, Leather, blackberry, and tobacco. Berry, fruits and high alcohol on the nose. Silky rich mouthfeel, inky purple colouring. Some tannins, dark fruits with but overall a smooth finish on the tongue. — 8 years ago
