Went to a wine tasting the other night and sampled through several of the La Junta wines. Pleasantly surprised by them from the gulpables to the reserves. This Chardonnay is a wonderful everyday value. Getting a lot of fling or limestone on it and not a typical oaky cal chard thank you very much. — 3 years ago
I should let this open up before I rate… needs to blow off some alcohol. I’m smelling some anise in there. Tart cherries. The fruit flys will be heading my way shortly. Back to the bubbly. — 3 years ago
We opened this 21018 on November 18,2023 because I wanted one more glass to wrap up the night after a wonderful dinner of osso bucco, Milanese risotto and barbaresco. Thought my husband might pass this one as it is higher alcohol than he likes but wow we were both pleasantly surprised. First sip gives me anise, some chocolate and herbs like Rosemary. It’s beautiful already and we just opened this puppy!!! — a year ago
Direct from Italy a nice dry sagrantino. A lovely rustic Italian that I am enjoying g while sister bonding. — 3 years ago
Very dry and tannic. Initial high alcohol on nose but assume it will blow off. Oak, brambly dark fruit but more dry than fruit forward. Leather without lace. — 2 years ago
Mad dog… we aren’t drinking this together but we will be and we won’t be drinking it in the Dollar Store Parking Lot. This is an elegant blend of merlot, cab franc, cab sauv and petite Verdot. Love me a nice blend. Soft on the nose and palate.. enjoyed with a beautiful rack of lamb with mint pesto. Happy. — 3 years ago
Needed some time to open up but since it was end a workday I needed to drink faster than it could😬. Typicall dusty Bordeaux with some oak and leather. Just right for an evening pick me up at the chicken coop. — 3 years ago
