nothing like a giant bottle of incredible sake in tiny bowls to really get you ready for court — 4 years ago
From steep sloping Hidden Ridge Vineyard. Mostly Cabernet with Petite Verdot (2.5%) blended in. Dark ruby color. Aromas of dark bramble berry fruit with hints of coffee, lavender and sweet spices. The expressive palate is full of black berry/plum and blueberry fruit with additional notes of tobacco, black tea, and dark coffee. Pleasant sweet spicy/oaky and very long finish. Dense, complex, rich and extremely well balanced. Part of the North Shore House (Paired with a fig dessert) Wine Pairing Dinner on March 9, 2024. — 2 months ago

Opaque and concentrated. Savory and meaty with dark raspberry and blackberry fruit as well as licorice and spice.
Perfect tannin for beef bourguignon, watching the bizarre Local Hero. Sadly my last bottle of this, should drink well for many more years. — 6 months ago

Costco Advent Day 7. So powerfully dry, it’s almost too much but not for me. I loved the dry, earthy flavor! This is by far my favorite of the advent wines so far. I would definitely buy this wine again! Bold and plum forward - and 14.5 % to boot! — 3 years ago
