For a relatively young, less than $20 Pinot Noir, Imagery is smooth. Not acidic like other young Pinots. Color is nice and it balances fruit and earth taste. — 7 days ago

It's #AgedWineTuesday today. Here is a delicious one from California.
This 20 year old has a gorgeous nose.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, earth, green olives, spices, peppercorn, leather, tobacco and green vegetables.
Nice finish with spices and tangy raspberries.
What a great nose on this Syrah. Reminds me of a Napa Syrah.
Fruits are on the decline, by now, but it is still interesting and enjoyable by itself. Good with food too.
What a score.
I paired it with short ribs with truffled mushrooms.
12.4% alcohol by volume.
90 points. — 3 months ago
A very special wine, made only in years where Sebastiano (Marco’s son) is able to fully ripen his Zibibbo/Muscat. Interestingly it’s made only from the offshoots of the cluster. If you love aromatic dances (like I do), this is for you. Micro-detailed imagery of salty lemons, Valencia orange, and green herbs - bone dry and delicate but with a little body from some time in oak and on skins. Unfiltered pale gold beauty. — 20 days ago
