Golden amber color. Briny, diluted iodine, smoky, red fruit, floral and herbal notes on the nose. Warm mouthfeel. Hints of sherry and stewed fruits on the palate. — 6 years ago

Earthy, good value! Had at HIPPO in highland park — 6 years ago
Color is light caramel. Nose of fermented grains like high end rice wine, a bit burned apple and brown sugar, spice, and peat in 2nd wave. Taste is quite smooth with flavors hinted from the nose. Some more cinnamon and tuffet note. And some more zest, flowering note, and apple note. Aftertaste is also quite lingering. Reminds me of better version of white walker. — 7 years ago
Maybe the most heavily peated Highland Park I've had yet. Delicious! — 4 years ago

Lovely bottle I picked up from Highland Park Wine. Funky in a good way, a little minerally. Getting me through Day 3 of the corona quarantine like a champ. — 6 years ago

I don’t often post whisky but then I do, it’s because they’re pretty special. This is no exception. A rather unusual barrel pick, this 14-year Highland Park was aged in what appears to be a sherry cask (color, aroma, flavor) and bottled at cask strength. Notes of cola, coffee, potpourri, smoke and pepper with a rich, fuller body. I called it the Dr. Pepper of Scotch. The finish is forever long. Sadly, I’ll probably never get to experience this again. — 4 years ago
