Clos Grangeneuve Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Paired with steak au poivre. Some sediment even after decanting. Wine is pepper and tobacco on the nose (no that wasn't the steak). Picked up some blackberry jam and chocolate and coffee on the nose after it opened up. Taste was jammy and peppery with a strong tannin bite. Thought it got more deep and complex as it sat. Paired really well, would drink again, wife didn't mind it despite not being a Merlot fan. — 3 months ago

Cuvée Anthologie Clos Grangeneuve Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Tried the 2016 at Saint-Emilion. Not a rich, aggressive red, but softer and much easier to drink for its age. — 5 years ago

Château de Grangeneuve

Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc Sémillon

Very pleasant Bordeaux Blanc of 90% Sauvignon and 10% Semillon. The Semillon gives it a slightly sweet taste that enhances the moderately rich wine. Paired well with poultry — 2 years ago

Grangeneuve Côtes du Rhône Villages Beaumes-de-Venise Syrah 2016

No doubt the greatest young Beaumes-de-Venise Rouge I’ve ever tasted. Ferocious and medicinally-concentrated. Cassis, cocoa powder, wild herbs. Exceptional balance for such a hot, intense growing season. — 6 years ago
