Hefty orange wine. Nice tannins. — 8 months ago
Friday night and the wine of the evening is the 2018 Glover Family Vineyard Zephyr Pinot Noir. This is from Marlborough New Zealand.
On the nose there is chrrry, raspberry, cranberry, clove, spice, herbs, rose petals, faint oakand earth.
On the palate is juicy red fruit, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, mushroom and a nice earthy feel.
This wine is medium bodied that has good tension and a smooth mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins which leaves you with a long fresh red fruit finish. Have a great weekend and please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago
Soft, floral, and fruit-forward, this wonderful Kiwi Chardonnay has light pomelo citrus without being tart. A nicely balanced effort, while it could be a great Summer cocktail wine, it went perfectly with spanakopita and pasta primavera with white sauce and a seeded rye baguette. — 7 years ago
Textbook smoky, farmyard character on the nose. Nice light tannins, strawberry flavours. Could have more oomph or suavity, but lovely NZ Pinot character for the price. — a year ago
Light, tart, grapefruit that was so good because it wasn't too sweet. Very good. — 4 years ago
Nose is like toasted sesame! Tangy and funky. I love dry reislings and this doesn’t taste like anything I’ve had before which intrigues me. — a year ago
No excuses here, just thirst quenching and pure Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at its finest. This colors within the lines of refinement while still pumping tropical citrus, grapefruit and weedy herbs to the Max. Lots of acidity maintains freshness while this comes across as dry and remarkably fresh. Well Done. — 2 years ago
Pale gold color. Integrated aromas of mellow peat, medicinal notes, beeswax, oranges, violets, sherry, and wet turf. Very round mouthfeel, hot up front but tames down quickly. Additional palate coating flavors of red fruits, vanilla, and a hint of sea spray and iodine at the end. A complex fusion of Japanese and Scotch! — 6 years ago
