Everything you’d want in an amarone. Burst of flavor at the beginning that then settles back into a relaxed, elegant finish. On the palate, some black plum mixed with a very faint dried cranberry or cherry. It all resolved into a wonderfully balanced finish, that is almost floral, but it’s more deep and complex than just floral. — 8 days ago
Racy limestone minerality meet lemon pith and orchard fruit. Has a Chablis sensibility. Zippy acidity, with lemon and lime fruit. There is a sweet tart chalky fruit character too. Solid, enjoyable finish. Tart fruit is the predominant character on the palate. — 9 days ago
Raisin, cherry, Raspberry, pencil lead, a bit of heat. Very wide and long palate with a extreme acid backbone and a lovely red fruit all along. It's radiating in all directions! Soft mouth feel but with a grip, a small tanginess in the rear, that gorgious fruit playing a very long tune for a wonderful finale with raisins notes. This is great! — 2 days ago
This is a beauty of a wine. At first the tannins feel a little too tart, though with food the flavours balance and the palate changes. This is a luxury purchase, and it leaves me questioning whether it is objectively better than a wine costing half as much, though then i remember the techniques involved and it suddenly is worth every penny. A treat — 2 days ago
We both tasted this blind. Agreed high alcohol. Acidity. I wrote Slate or stone soil. Ripe, stewed fruit. Warmer climate. Some herbaceous notes. Spice. I guessed a merlot driven blend over 5years old. It was 2003. — 3 days ago
This is a nice Amarone. Showing red and black fruits with wood vanilla earth spices chocolates tobacco mocha and peppercorn.
Dry and fruit forward with a tangy finish.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins (45 minutes).
Simple and good by itself or with food. I paired it with a Filet Mignon and asparagus.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Drinking the 2013 in 2020. Excellent wine. Deep rich color. Thick long lasting legs. Earthy nose rich with peet. Big flavor, rich with ripe fruit and an earthy finish.. wonderful dinner wine to pair with pasta or steak. — a month ago
I think I’m going to like Italian rosés if this one is representative. Tangy and just a touch funky. Really quite lovely. Definitely a better value than Bandol these days at only $12. — 4 days ago
