Strawberry minerals off dry refreshing springtime dreamy rose pairing well with the salinity of seared scallops. Bottled a few months ago and super delicious. — 5 years ago
Best CS wine so far for me. Mild Cabernet, no acid bite, goes down smooth, great with steak! — 6 years ago
Nose has dehydrated black cherry, graphite, blackberry jam, faint prune, light green herbs and touch of alcohol on the finish.
Palate has blackberry/black cherry mash, cedar, powdered milk chocolate, light savory notes (like a hint of tomato paste?) and ripe cranberry. Medium-light tannins.
Continuing on our Ravines Wine Cellars theme for today brought us to this beautiful CF tonight. Many years to go still, but in a nice spot this evening after ~3hr decant. Future bottles should be 2024+ at a minimum.
A very enjoyable pair tonight with some local grass fed beef, Denver steaks, good stuff, look it up. Slow and low on the grill until just before finishing, then off to the wicked hot side for a great sear. Know your farmer and ask for these cuts, no disappointing... We're lucky to live in a great agrarian area of far western MA and eastern NY where things like this can be found with some light stone turning. — 7 years ago

Very Rich, Velvety & Smooth w/Cherry, Berry & Soft Spice!
Can’t ever Judge a wine by its price alone! This ones a winner for me from the Yellow Tail & my fave so far. — 5 years ago
Love this! I am a lover of Pepperjack but at between $8.50-$12 it is by far our budget friendly version. Really fantastic for the price (even for wines double the price) — 7 years ago
From the recently revived viticultural area of Faro in the north eastern tip of Sicily near Messina and not far from Mt Etna. Light to mid crimson in colour. Earthy savoury mineral notes with smoky red cherry. Light to medium bodied palate with a skinnsy note. A blend of the 2 Nerellos of Etna fame plus Nocera and Nero d’Avola - Sicily in a bottle! Not as wow as when I had it in Sicily but still impressive. — 8 years ago
By far my favourite wine. The Moscato is sweet and light with a very fruity and soft flavour. Goes down like welches white grape juice and can turn most wine haters to the dark side. I always recommend this to friends — 8 years ago
Rich berry flavor. This winery never misses. — 9 years ago
Entry-level dry Riesling from two vineyards: White Spring (on the western shore of Seneca Lake) and 16 Falls vineyards (on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake). Fermented in stainless steel. Green apple and citrus (lime) aromas and some floral notes. Refreshing, dry. Lemon and pineapple notes on the palate. Vibrant acidity. Lingering finish. Easy to drink, great value — 4 years ago
Favourite rose so far :) fruity and sweet, not too acidic — 5 years ago
A rather vivid ruby red color with a wide brim upon opening. After an hour decant the nose displays classic Brunello notes of dried cherries, violets, and smoked tobacco. A bit beefy and meaty with more smoke and grilled meats also show. The plethora of eastern spices compliment the black tea.
Classic, old school Brunello. Can’t beat it. Not modern in its approach, this is more austere than many of the newer models. But that doesn’t mean it’s not inviting. Elegant gets thrown around far too often in wine but it’s appropriate here. Lush and ethereal with that certain something going on.
The fruit on the palate is still lovely and lively. Long, deep notes of cherries and plums. Sandalwood and roasted nuts to go with the cigar box. Leather and dusty earth to die for. Wonderful acidity on the long finish. This is still just a baby so keep waiting but it’s so pretty right now. — 6 years ago

I'm assuming this is the Lamella. For me, this stood out among Dan's three wines. Exotic, with a good dose of spice. GW sums this up pretty well:
Hand-picked from the Stonegarden Vineyard (planted 1858) in the far south eastern hills of the Eden Valley. I’m not sure Eden Valley Shiraz gets much better than this. Black fruits, black pepper and exotic spice, sage and aromatic herbs, BBQ snags, floral top notes. Full bodied, incredible density and depth to the fruit, black fruits with a subtle mintiness, all that spice and mouth-perfume, then sheets of silky ultra-high pixel tannin, cool acidity, and superb length, with a cascade of nourishing tannin to farewell. Superb. — 9 years ago
Lyle Fass

Founder Fass Selections
Nose is ripe with late season red cherries. Spice, earth. Wet earth and tweed jacket. Really spectacular fruit on the nose. Almost a cola like intensity but it’s all Burg fruit. Terrific aromas. Really nice layered spices beyond that. Almost middle eastern. Juicy and so concentrated with such sappy and pure fruit. Man what amazing fruit here. So long and slippery. Really open now but will develop. More 22’s I taste more I have to pat myself on the back for making the call these would be open when they landed. Not one closed 22 so far. Fantastic wine. — a year ago
