Familia Zuccardi

Alma 4 Bonarda 2017

When in Argentina drink… red sparkling? A dry espumante made with the Bonarda varietal , one of the great (volume wise) grapes for bulk wine here. Seco style red sparkling virtually unheard of, a strange factoid given so many other styles of sparkling wines come out of an Italian saturated population. Persistent mousse, quite dense in color & the palate- could compete with many a Modena counterpart. Paired w last family meal of papas pastel y ensalate. Made by one of the young mavericks at stalwart Zuccardi. ‘17 release, and 30 months aged in bottle, so made not without some serious forethought & design. — a year ago
