We had the pleasure of drinking a 14 year old Rioja. Very old world as it was narrow on the palette with dark cherry, oak, vanilla all very well integrated and balanced. Good length on the finish, present. All aground a wonderful experience. — 9 months ago

うきうきセール2197円で購入したスペイン赤古酒、2003年物。開梱したら何度も痛い目にあった金賞ラベルが付いていたのでヘコんでいたのですが、実はすごい子だった！ガーネット色としなやかなタンニンは古酒そのもの。それでいてしっかりと凝縮した果実味、失われていない膨よかな香りも素晴らしい。樽熟によるバニラ香も堪りません。5千円はする実力だなあ。

Deep red with a hint of brick on the edge. Not a huge nose. Just a light smell of wood and incense. Flavors are zingy and tart. Some cherry. Hint of green herbs. Mint. This is a more acidic and bright wine than the Crianza. Not as juicy and more ‘serious’. Complex. — 3 months ago
