2014 drinking in 2023. Robust, punchy and delicate after 9 years. Red fruits, okay vanilla, leather yummy casssis and a hit of undergrowth. We drank this over 2 days snowboarding in Austria and it hit the spot. — a year ago
SyrahSession#2Wine#2
Deep, viscous Violin color, curiosity that this wine from Château des Jacques, Beaujolais Domaine renowned for its Moulin-à-Vent. Aromatically marked by the style of the house with a fat and creamy toasted breeding. The varietal notes are respected making this cuvée a kind of great gap between Rhône and Burgundy. A type of wine heralding decades to come and climate change? To be tasted in two years.
Between peppery black fruits and intense mineral notes. Freshness and power. Can age 2 years to develop some aromatic reliefs.
— a year ago
Mon no 1. 93-94
Blind tasting of 5 Pinots Noirs, no 2 for the panel. My no 1. A touch of new wood still but lots of generous fruit, good power with a great texture, nice volume and some finesse, very long finish. — 3 years ago
Entre-deux-mers bio délicieux. — 3 years ago
Very light dress. Fine and numerous bubbles. An open bouquet of apple, pear, white flowers, citrus, and mineral. Gourmet and fine, can be drunk superbly, between energy and refinement.
— a year ago
Still has a lot of life
Internet info,
Located in the Entre-deux-Mers region (in Saint-Loubès), the Château Reignac was built in the 16th century by Seigneur Baude de Peyron. Since 1990, it has been owned by Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot who elevated it, within a few years, to being one of the best domaines in Bordeaux with the help of the consultant oenologist Michel Rolland. The vineyard extends over 80ha in one piece; it is planted mostly with Merlot, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and, over 2 ha, Sauvignon and Sémillon. In a few years this domaine could impose its style and show the full potential of its appellation. It is now recognised as one of the jewels of the region, able to rival the renowned crus of Bordeaux.
About the cuvée
