Typical light bodied Pinto. Has good depth though. Very drinkable. Really good, but not "exciting". Very fruit froward. — 7 years ago
Dried cherries a hint of pepper but not overwhelming. Acidic but balanced bold and tamara dry :) — 8 years ago
This is another Oregon Pinto Noir. The best state in the world for Pinot Noir I have concluded. This is Winderlea 2013 Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills Vineyards. The cork was pretty bad. The bouquet was much better after 30 minutes of decanting and aerating with my new Aervana electric wine aerator!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! I love the wine too. The bouquet is hot cherry pie fresh from the oven. Very simple. The color is a beautiful clear ruby red. The legs are long and thick, unlike most pinot noirs. The initial flavor explosion is red grapes and black cherries. There is a hint of green apple. This is a thick on the palate pinot. The finish is long and has a dry mineral like finish. At 12.8%, I am very impressed!!!!!!! — 10 years ago

I was lucky to try some of Niepoort ports at Martine Saunier tasting recently and since then I’m hooked on Port. This one very complex more dark chocolate and mocha like flavors than deep toasted almond that I was getting from Fronseca and Ramos Pinto. This seems to be my kind of port. Niepoort that is. — 9 years ago
