Yellowgold color. Firn. Oily extracts. Notes of melon, mango, honey, and bitter almond. Nerds to be consumed — 2 years ago
No wine gets a 10! But my god! This is an amazing Riesling. So good with spicy foods like Jamaican jerk chicken. — 3 years ago
Don’t be fooled by its relatively dark color: this rosé is not flabby, nor is it sweet (although it does have a little RS). Strawberries and cream meets the tartness of rhubarb. Pair with a bendy straw and a back porch in the summer. — 5 years ago
Star bright tannish gold. Surprisingly abundant nose of Royal Gala apples with a hint of flint. Still too young fir the flint to dominate, but it’s there. Medium light, layered palate echoes the nose wrapped around firm mouthwatering acidity and leading into a lengthy stony almost saline finish. German dry Riesling has come a long way since the turn of the century and this GG representative of the renowned 2017 vintage makes the case grandly. An excellent VDP authorized (look for the eagle) Riesling that will compliment a wonderful range of foods. Asian cuisine (non-spicy) or Euro-American pork dishes are naturals. Drink now through 2032 or so when the flint has taken the lead. — 2 years ago
Great acid. Grapefruit and lemon. Dry. Not hugely complex. — 4 years ago
Star bright pale yellow. Inviting nose of yellow apple and honeysuckle. Juicy bright acidity leads the medium-bodied palate which confirms the nose adding dry-ish honey and cement block. Finish is moderate in length and maintains the juicy acidity. At least I think it’s moderate because it’s such a tasty treat with just enough sweet balanced by just enough tart that I can’t help but swig one sip after another pausing only for my crab cakes and mixed root vegetables (beets and carrots mostly). For me, the Rhein and Nahe are preferable to the Mosel as the former are more food friendly at all Prädikat levels. This is no exception. Pair with just about anything. And try not to swig. — 9 months ago

Fine Rieslings Night
Just speechless. 🏆Winner of the night.
Stunning wine! 42 years old wine that has been recorked at the winery some time ago ensuring its superb condition.
Beautiful bouquet of aged Riesling which developed complex herbal and vegetal aromas: dill, stewed carrots and beetroot. Tertiary aromas of petrol and hay.
Delicate wine, but has intensity and grip with vibrant, lingering finish. — 4 years ago

The wine was openned yesterday and shows notes of cantaloupe, yuzu, lemon and white flowers. This is very nice. The palate is acid driven but there's almost a milky, creamy texture to it, with a bright pineapple and lemon note all along a very strong acid drive which makes the wine go for a long and fresh finish with the same lemon and yuzu notes. This is quite good — 7 months ago
