A bit bitter on its own, balances itself out when paired with a fatty meat (in this case, a Basque region raised pork loin). — 6 months ago
2017 vintage. Last tasted 6.1.22 with same score. Perfume of fennel, Chambord, lavender, ripe dark plum and dusty bookshelf. Moonless, winter night color. Medium-heavy body. Gamey and mineralesque but otherwise, clean on the finish. A very light Reposado tequila pop up flavoring approx 45 seconds after savoring the finish. No, haven’t had any tequila in months. 10.30.23. — 8 months ago
Ruby with violet. Slight high viscosity. Blue berry, black currant. Pepper. Dry. Balanced tannin. Juicy. Elegant. Domaine de colombier crozes hermitages 21 @5100, AD, 240616 — 10 days ago
May not have the character of say a Baudry or Raffault Chinon, but still a profoundly true-to-terroir Chinon with all that fine grained dark berry earthiness, low on the funko-meter, & just plain ol’ low alcohol fun. Paired with brunch cheesy egg casserole of Gruyère, nutmeg, Parmesan etc that soaks overnight in Half & Half. — 5 months ago
Absolutely gorgeous, light, bright white! Notes of soapstone lend a great minerality and balance very well with the citrusy acidity. — a month ago
Very light shade of red, mix of red fruits with what seems to mostly be raspberries, does not taste like a %14.5 alcohol volume, light tannings but well built for 2018 wine, very smooth and easy to drink — 3 months ago
Dark red fruits, dark chocolates and some meaty aromas. This is a great wine that will get better with age. We’re going to enjoy this with Christmas leftovers! — 6 months ago

Already developed into drinking window. Sometimes you have these wines that do not tip the high rating scales, not overly complex, layered or standout elements. No, this is just really well balanced and giving a lot of pleasure and easy drinking.
Funny fact: This cuvee name means badger in Occitan, a wink at the animal who eats Jean-Francois' grapes.. 🦡 — 19 days ago
