How not to love this oxidative-style wine, with its yellow ripe apples, pears, nuttiness, honey and brioche? This specific aroma and taste profile owes to acetaldehyde, which forms during an oxidation or also prolonged contact with lees, where dead yeast burst open to release acetaldehyde (autolysis). The latter explains why aged champagne develops those yummy characteristic dried apple and brioche from long second fermentation in the bottle. This 2018 Jura from 375ml tastes even more intense and sharper with age. Why the only bottle I could snag was so small? — 6 months ago

Ruby color, translucent, clear. Charming nose, red fruits, spices and evolution, humus undergrowth, with this small particular character of low interventionist and unfiltered wines, without being "natural". Mouth is delicate, and lively. We delight as much in the nose as in the dress, and we come to next glass with great pleasure. 2015 is to drink. Fans of Pinot Noir or gamay will appreciate. Superb for its price.

Robe rubis, translucide, limpide. Nez charmeur, fruits rouges, épices et évolution, sous-bois humus, avec ce petit caractère particulier des vins peu interventionnistes et non filtrés, sans être « nature » pour autant. En bouche c’est délicat, et vif. On se délecte autant du nez, que de la robe, et on y revient avec grand plaisir. 2015 est à boire. Superbe pour son prix. — 3 years ago

I liked this. Had some earthy, funky aromas, kind of like Cabernet Franc- vegetal aromas. We had a second bottle this one was the 2019 ; I think the other was 2018 and I liked it better. The 2019. Seemed too tight and tannic even after being opened for a day. — 7 months ago
