Grille Midi Fleurie Gamay 2022

Big, bold, dark wine. 14.5. Not my usual gamay. Went nicely w grilled, stuffed chicken breast. If anything, maybe a little too robust. But I liked it. Medium- bodied with concentrated fruit. — 16 days ago

Oh my! Fun little gem right here. Gives French Farmland nose with light, red fruit and mossy earth. What a steal! Paired with some nutty and creamy cheeses. — 5 months ago

La Madone Fleurie Gamay 2019

Really one of the nicer and perhaps more complete Beaujolais I’ve had in a bit. Decanted 2+ hours, needed it as there is some real structure here that evened out nicely. Wonderful nose, quite typical. Lots of dark red fruit and a bit of earthy funk. Excellent length and acid on the finish. — a year ago

La Dame de la Pétoche Fleurie Gamay 2020

@Delectable Wine - This is the 2020 Domaine de la Madone “Dame de la Petoche” Fleurie, not the regular Fleurie. It’s an old vine cuvée aged in old barrels. The color is deeply saturated and the nose is so deep. Ripe, pure dark cherry juice drizzled over slabs of decomposing old granite. So mineral. Densely flavored but not overdone, it’s pretty powerful and has deep flavors of mineral and dark crunchy fruit. Acids are a tad low but I am certainly not complaining. Delicious and serious. — 2 years ago
