2016 vintage. Jean-Michel Cazes (owner of famous Pauillac Cru Classé Lynch-Bages and more recently Haut-Batailley) bought this Minervois estate in 2002. This is the "grand vin", a blend of 70% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 20% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre. A very spicy concentrated wine that is more about power than finesse. The colour is still deep dark red with hardly any sign of evolution. Intense spicy nose. Bold and powerful with black fruit hidden in spices. Long peppery finish. Take no prisoners. Abv. 14,5%. — 2 years ago
A dark red full-bodied wine to my taste, under eur 20. It took me over one year living in Paris to find such a wine.

Wow. Brambly, crunchy, blackberries, clean, linear and expansive…. Subtle effervescence that held throughout the bottle. Buy all of them if you come across. It’s one of those bottles you ask, what else can you give? A very much perfect bottle but I can’t give 100 for some reason. — 2 years ago
Chewy and rustic. This wine craves food. — 4 years ago

Gott men lite lätt fantasilös. #tnwc — 2 years ago
Very rustic. Good acid and structure. This wine shines with food, particularly beef. One of the better wines I’ve had this year. — 4 years ago
