Combines a lot of wine profiles in this blend. Fruity without being overly sweet. Healthy amount of tannins. Reminds me of a Barbera d’asti maybe, but with a Syrah mouthfeel. Andre Mack knows what he is doing. — 4 years ago

Les Chailloux Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2019
2019 vintage " Les Chailloux". You can't go wrong with these guys. On 59 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards they make 11 different white Sancerres, 10 from single vineyards and 1 blend. All wines are vinified in the same way, so this estate is like a candy store for wine lovers eager to try to understand the different terroirs in Sancerre. Les Chailloux is a hillside parcel oriented to the west with a clay and silex soil upon chalk. Citrus fruit combined with an intense minerality and floral notes. Bright mouthwatering fruit and acidity with a long almondy finish. Highly recommended. Abv. 13,5%. P — 4 years ago

2nd day much nicer. I switched to a better “ real” glass as well. Most of the initial, fruit driven nose and palate has morphed into something darker, more graphite and pepper with that inimitable Viognier lift on the finish. The texture is very, very nice.
