Not the best example of this wine, but still excellent (and definitely improved significantly with time in the glass). Glad to see Greg Brewer is making this again, though. Super cool wine (like a Premier Cru Chablis on steroids!). — 7 years ago

Greg Brewer’s Diatom label is an utter unique expression of chardonnay and is the best QPR you’ll find. This one - like many of these - will improve with a couple of more years in bottle due to the (relatively) high acidity. Super cool wine - like a Premier Cru Chablis on steroids. — 4 years ago

The cork right after opening smelled like honey, green apples, and pineapple. The nose smelled of yeast and fermented pineapple immediately after opening, but now with some time more honey and less yeast with an almost marzipan-esque smell. The palate transfers through from the cork with riper pineapple, honey and a sweeter apple. The finish is a bit of dried apricot. Acidity rushes down the sides of the tongue. This is nice with my panko crusted chicken and roasted carrots. — 5 years ago
