Le Petit Chambord Vendanges Manuelles Cour-Cheverny AOC Romorantin 2018

Good with sushi or lighter Thai dishes. Citrus forward, but herbal, bitter and a little boozy. (15% abv) Interesting texture. Others are saying waxy but I get oily. Not a “clean” wine, but certainly unique. New grape for me. — 11 days ago

Le Telquel Cheverny Gamay

Rosy berry with a little funk and peppery clove; very drinkable. At $22 this might become a go-to — a month ago

Cuvée François 1er Vieilles Vignes Cour-Cheverny Romorantin 2015

Pinot Noir mainly and Gamay blend. Very nice 5 years natural wine, juicy, unfiltered, full and round. nice acidity bringing freshness associated wonderfully with a slight woody note. — 21 days ago

Domaine Philippe Tessier

Cheverny Pinot Noir Blend 2018

I lost my tasting notes but remember a very strong start, almost too strong for this Loire cab franc blend (cot?). Short decant will help. Very intense red fruits & a bit of currant. — 25 days ago

Domaine de Veilloux Cheverny Red Blend 2017

Dominant Pinot Noir, plus gamay and cot .. Light red wine, good minerality. tangy notes of berries, nice acidity, nice freshness. A wine with nuances typical of the Loire Valley. — a month ago
