Spice, dark berry, plum, black licorice, beautiful acidity — 5 years ago
Such a damn fine example what Muscat de petit grains dried in the sun can be. Made into the sweet (but not too sweet), spicy aromatic concoction that can be found in many countries. Miel? Yes but I get a lot of dried apricot equally. The residual sugar is IMHO perfectly balanced by the remaining acids. One of the best examples of desert Muscat I've had anywhere. Good cold but maybe even better at cool room temp.

MAGNUM! This is an unique blend of all the permitted grapes in Chateauneuf (red and white), named after Rudi’s grandfather, that plays well above its humble Vin de Pays du Gard, complex, rich, structured, needs 5+ more years, great wine!!
(Disclosure — Rudi is a friend through my brother, who imports his wines, but the front label shows the 12th Century chateau on the Rhône across from Chateauneuf, just south of the Lirac appellation!!) — 3 years ago
What a nice surprise! Old world style garnacha, with tight tannins, white pepper, assorted spice (cardoman notes), and no excessive fruitiness. Really great value, the way Spanish wines used to be before the imports all became new world style fruit bombs. — 5 years ago
Really tasty, easy drinking sangria with bright orange flavor and a hint of cinnamon — 2 years ago
I bought several bottles and opened this last one about 3 years later. Nice aromas of green and stone fruits with a citrus notes. The palate shows apple, peach and pear, still crisp with good balance, fresh and lively. The finish shows nutty earthy tones. I met with the distributor, Pasternak Wine Imports a while ago who indicated this wine can be enjoyed now, but put it down for a few years, the age will benefit the wine greatly, he was right! — 5 years ago
