Complex, ripe, floral nose. Palate weight is a tad stodgy with an oily, viscous attack but the sappy peach and pear fruit is appealing followed a ripe, fleshy cantaloupe and mango dimension that is lovely. The Alsatian terroir resonates loudly in the aromatics of this one, taking me right back to Colmar. — 8 years ago

Bought in Colmar, Elsass. This was the best Gewuerz I ever had in the last 20 years. Super tropical and complex but also high acidity and some tartness. Unlike other vintages very little residual sugar left per analysis of the winery. This was so good that I am considering to go back next year and visit the winery - I ran out of time this time.
