Tjrs une finale salivante sur de jolis amers. — 3 years ago
One of Domaine Mas Blanc’s three single-vineyard wines, Les Junquets comes from a steep west-facing terraced parcel in Collioure – an appellation Mas Blanc’s André Parcé greatly contributed to establish in the 1970s. Blend of 90% Syrah, 5% Marsanne and 5% Rousanne vinified together and aged in old Bordeaux barriques for one year. Complex nose, with aromas of dark fruit (prunes, cassis), coffee and savory, smoky character. On the palate, it is balanced, with flavors of cherries and chocolate. Long finish. — 4 years ago

Cherry, blackberry, plum, licorice, garrigue. Very nice nose. The palate is well made and shows some nice spice (black pepper), blackberry and cherry, a good width and some matter on the side, a vivid mouthfeel with a grip, some light tannins that caress before a long finish with black fruits and licorice in retro. Quite good indeed! We had it along a great moussaka made by Mrs M. and it was great. — 2 years ago
Unassuming. Strict, quiet, barely there aromas of gunpowder, white flowers, blanched almonds. The pale hay colors suggest this is light and easy. It’s not.
It’s 14.5% - fatty oily, type A introvert of a wine.
Slightly hot, we get yellow peach, jasmine, almond. Drink this at cellar temp and drink slow, as she charges quick. — 3 years ago
Blew me away. Nose is so elegant and pretty with lavender and dried red fruit. Just perfectly balanced palate with enough meatiness to know you’re drinking Mourvèdre but not enough to turn off the non-wine-geeks. So expansive on the palate in terms of the breadth of flavor and complexity, but at this stage of evolution it’s incredibly approachable and easy drinking. Smiles. — 4 years ago
