1938 Magnum! Incredible, once in a lifetime experience, Rekondo San Sebastián!! Perfecto!! — 10 years ago
My first Demi-Sev 1938 from a pristine bottle. No significant RS left in the structure but you could see how important the sugar was to carry on until today incredible aromatics. Still very concentrated and powerful. The second vintage of Gaston Huet at the end of the estate making the wines. — 8 years ago
1938 Corton Rouge, François Martenot from the Collection of Doctrur Barolet. Incredibly alive for 1938. A little musty on opening but with air the fruit is still shining: at times bright cherry that evolved to more dried cherries; a little spice. Served with a wild boar bourguignon and potatoes. — 9 years ago
Faint notes of ginger snaps, some orange but fresh rather than dried, dried brown herbs and fruit cake, smoky honey. In the mouth this is seems over the hill but there is still acidity and the fruit tastes relatively fresh given it's age. Acid really comes back round on the finish giving bitter citrus, lime dominant but then also smoky honey and garden soil — 10 years ago

Absolutely blown away by how fresh this wine was. Structured but with a nose of beautiful rose petals. Still had fruit, a bit of tannins, and acidity. Amazed but how well this has held up and I tried it about 4 hours after it was opened. — 6 years ago
