Chartron Et Trébuchet

Domaine Jean Chartron

Clos du Cailleret Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2015

Appreciation of wine is a personal thing for those of us uneducated as wine masters but this has been the most elegant poised and perfect Chardonnay I have tasted it had beautiful balance of fruit and oak, acidity and sugars it was way to young so perhaps as kiwi it was my new world palette but in no way was this a kiwi, Aussie or American Chardonnay it was white burgundy through and through — 2 months ago

This is maybe my favorite producer from Puligny...love their wines, especially the two monopole Puligny wines...never short of spectacular.

Clos des Chevaliers Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay 2014

Same as the Ramonet: I need to retaste. This followed an onslaught of northern rhones, barolos, and brunellos. My palate was already fatigued. I did pick up on it’s expansive mineralality and acidity. Only complaint was it seemed closed off and the oak was poking through. — 10 months ago

Funky on the nose. Light on the palate with great acidity. I second Joe's conclusion, divine with foie gras
