For 19 CHF, this is ridiculously good. Obviously very young, but fantastically drinkable with cola and blackberry on the nose. More minerality on the palate, and some finely grained tannin, but fantastic acidity and density. Yum. — 4 years ago

Lulu Vigneron was previously known as Les Chais du Vieux Bourg. It's a little hard to find info on this wine, but I think it's the same 05' Vin Jaune released under the previous name with a little more age under flor (11 years according to the importer). No notes were taken when I had it, but I remember being thoroughly impressed. Vaguely - the nose is on the sweeter, creamier style of Vin Jaune. Palate was remarkably juicy and crystalline. Ripe apples and goose berries on the nose. Some sweet sugary notes as well, caramel? Extremely rich on the palate with mixed fruits, over ripe pear in particular, roasted coco nut, vanilla custard, and caramel sauce. The texture is more like a thick red wine. The finish is filled with apples, and grapes but the vanilla custard from the palate is still coming through with a twist of lime. Stunning Riesling this one! — 9 years ago
