Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%) and Merlot (39%). Murky ruby color. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, violets and forest floor. Blackberry, Black Currant, Black Plum fruit on the palate with hints of mushroom, nutmeg and tobacco. Slight hint of vanilla on the long finish. Mouth watering acidity, medium-plus body and very dry. 2008 vintage. Bernaleau family (also owners of Haut-Médoc Château de Braude and Moulis Château Galland). Situated in Arsac between Château du Tertre and Château d'Arsac. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon (around 70%) with Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Great effort in a difficult vintage. Dark red with orangy rim. Cassis, flowers and cedar wood. Textbook elegant Margaux. Drinking beautifully without the harsh tannin that characterises many 2008s. Lovely and nice value. — 4 years ago

Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Merlot (28%) and is this chateau’s “second label.” Deep ruby color. Bright red fruit, wet soil and dried rose petals fill the nose.
