A beautiful plummy colour. The nose hints at mincemeat, rose hip and softer layer of stewed fruits and a gentle waft of eucalyptus. The palate is powerful, chewy satin and super lush with an elegant dry finish. Lots of earthy undertones like leather, green pepper and tobacco. Paired beautifully with a medium rare strip loin covered in a tarragon green sauce following the famous Relais de le entrecôte sauce recipe. — 3 years ago

Probably would have been better if served a bit cooler. Still, a nice emilian Sangiovese. Bit too much oak and a smidge of heat, but the grape still shines through and with a good meaty pasta dish it pairs well. Had at Relais Roncolo in Emilia Romagna. — a month ago
