See previous notes for this cuvée and vintage 76 weeks ago An unlikely venture on Kangaroo Island SA owned by Jacques Lurton of Cheval Blanc fame. The Lurton family own vineyards around the world. This is 100% Cabernet Franc. Herbal tea leaf like notes which belie the sweetish medium weight palate. Red Currant with mild resolved tannins. Overall very pleasing and ready to drink. — 6 years ago

Plum, bing cherry, prune raisin—all with classic structure & finesse. From magnum, relished over two days. Who says you can’t age Zinfandel? The last single vineyard zin before the sale to Constellation. — 6 years ago
In appearance, I would have called this Napa as it had a deep purple rim but once you smelled it, it was South African through and through. Though I’ve only had a limited experience with SA wines, I’ve normally gotten a unique smell, reminiscent of smoked rubber. A lot of potpourri to this too. Black fruits (blackberries, cassis) with an herbal and tannic/slightly chalky finish. Well made. — 7 years ago
Easy drinking, prune and caramel on the palate, the finish makes it yummy. — 8 years ago
Black currant, structure, electricity, tartness, energy. All the adjectives. — 9 years ago

Nice rose from SA, purchased at hop and grape. Crisp acidity with well balanced sweetness, this is a delightful summer sipper — 5 years ago
LOVE. Loire might be my favourite French region.
Some green pepper on the nose. Dangerously drinkable. Food friendly. Went well with spiced ground beef and rice, but this red would be a good companion for red or white meat, Indian dishes, or on its own. — 6 years ago
Still under lockdown in SA so enjoying some of my favorites — 6 years ago

Really crisp and delicious South African wine. I get citrus and that quintessential SA minerality finish! Lovely. — a year ago
