Castillo De Tomás

Castillo Clavijo

Gran Reserva RIoja Tempranillo Blend 2016

Great rioja for the price. Great flavors of vanilla and warm spice. Thin body but nice structure otherwise. Crisp for a rioja. — 10 days ago

Santo Tomás

Duetto Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Brought this wine to my favorite Estes Park restaurant to share. While I must admit the Italian Chianti Classico was better this still did a good job showing Mexico — 4 months ago

Marqués de Murrieta

Castillo Ygay Reserva Especial Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2018

Blend of 86% Tempranillo, 8% Graciano, 4% Mazuelo (Cariñena) and 2% Garnacha, grapes and various plots fermented separately, aged for 20 months in American oak, then blended. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of leather, vanilla and oaky notes. Fine tannins, long finish, lively acidity ending with fruit, sweet oak and spice. Nice! ‘17 a bit better! — 3 months ago

Unico Gran Reserva Cabernet Merlot 2012

Drinks like a well aged Bordeaux. Let this decant for 1-2 hours and saw this get better with time. Incredibly smooth and medium to medium light tannins. Excellent bottle and would encourage everyone to try some Mexican wines. I — 4 months ago
