Calvet-Thunevin (Thunevin-Calvet)

Cuvée Constance Côtes du Roussillon Villages Carignane Grenache 2015

Raspberries, cherry syrup, herbs de provence, beef bullion. Needs some air, so, decant. — 23 days ago

Les Dentelles Côtes du Roussillon Villages Grenache Blend 2016

Those “”Frenchies” know how to do Granach. This wine is the epitome of what I would eat a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with. It is so hard to pair any barbecue sauce ( especially one that is a little sweet) this is a match made in heaven — 7 months ago

Rosé d'Anjou 2017

Very smooth, very fruity. There is a taste of strawberry. Slightly candyish — 2 months ago

Côtes du Roussillon Villages Les Trois Marie Red Rhone Blend 2015

Surprise of the day! Young and powerful. Ripe fruits and baked mixed berry pie aromatics. The sweetness of the fruit falls off pretty quick but it shows savory and smoked charcoal notes with old pipe tobacco like finish. — 8 months ago

Well, this is a wine with a ton going on. And I don't think I could tell you that this was 75% Grenache with the balance being Syrah. I would have guessed that PS was a component by far. Entry is thick, chalk filled, black blue and purple fruit. This wine poured significantly dark. There is a brambleberry and forest note in the middle to finish. The finish has very bright acidity, and this has the tannic grip to last another 15 years easily. This wine has incredible balance at the present time. I really expect that to continue over the next decade although I do not expect the front to remain as sweet or chalky. A definite crowd-pleaser.
