On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, without orchestra or conductor 😉. Three humble souls playing an all BEETHOVEN program (Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor (Opus 1, No. 3) and Symphony No. 2 in D (Opus 36, arr. for piano trio by Beethoven)) with a few of the best players of instruments containing strings, Yo-Yo Ma (cello), Leonidas Kavakos (violin) and Emanuel Ax (piano). I had great hopes for this wine, perhaps the chap from The Fine Wine Company did oversell it somewhat, The Blue Eyed Boy was I think better, this is just to big like an overblown C N d P there is to much in the middle pallet to get much else — 3 years ago

Smells of a chocolate coffee cake -

Cacao, dark cherry, smidgeon of menthol, cedar wrapped red fruit leather,
The wine is heavy handed and starts off with high alcohol, it needs time to blow off in order to get a good nose.
Love me some C to the D to the P.
