The 2020 Crianza is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Ribera del Duero and was aged for 16 months, 75% in French oak casks and 25% in American oak. Garnet-red in hue. The nose features strawberry, plum, undergrowth, herbs, cedar and vanilla notes. The dry and ample palate shows mild tannins and a velvety oak texture that leads to a long-lasting finish. Best pinot I’ve had. Light but very flavorful — 7 months ago
Pale white with a hint of salmon pink. Flavors of lemon peel and grapefruit rind (yes, language is funny). Slightly tart in initial pour. Still assessing, let it open up a bit. Dilute lime emerges after an hour. Winery tasting notes mention that this is bone dry, with three vineyard components adding green apple, peach and red apple flavors. I get subdued flavors of the last two, especially red apple skin, but no malic acid or Granny Smith in this to my tasting. The zero residual sugar is impressive, as the high acidity makes for a great food wine here. 1368 cases made — a year ago
Beautiful pinot noir! Lots of body, complex flavors. Great pinot nior — 5 months ago
The 2019 Reserva is primarily Tempranillo enriched with 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot from Ribera del Duero and was aged up to 26 months in new French oak. A dark garnet-red with a slight haze. The nose features chocolate, mocha, herbs, blackberry and plum over liqueur-like undertones. On the palate, it's indulgent but taut with reactive tannins and a concentrated structure that leads to an intense, vigorous, long-lasting finish. A tenacious Ribera wine. Also no malolactic. Crisp and minerally, but still sweeter than the Xanadu. — 4 months ago
